how in the world would i got about connecting mdf to a metal wall of a trunk so that its steady and wont come loose,//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

1. screws.

2. silicone (I heard someone recommend this, and I'm thinking that it just might work. Easy to apply, you can always cut it out later if need be, cheap)

3. Make your own pivoting MDF arm to hang onto the many different holes within the trunk confines. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

is screwin in to the trunk dangerous like for the outside panels? if the wood is .5" thick what size screws do you think?

cars usually have two sheets with space in-between (hence the pain in the arse when damping) so as long as your screws aren't like 6" in length, a 1" would suffice.

DO apply damping mats in-between the metal and MDF to minimise rattling. If no damping mat, at least SOMETHING to absorb the vibrations, such as sponge or something...

Yea. That's what I did. I mixed the glue with the dust from sanding and fill in the bigger holes. Then filled the rest with wood filler..works awesome
