cone size vs. watts

Don't do that, you'll get everything all wet!!
Why is it that common misuse of a word eventually becomes proper?
more than likely the changing in times and the changing in applications of certain things IE Dynamate, or anything for sound proofing a room to a car.

how about airspace?

i have an extended cab truck, and the same sub, (sony xplod) sounded better in my brothers nissan sentra then in the cab with me. it was givn to me lol not my choice.

trucks are difficult to get loud, despite the obvious physics of it, smaller space should be louder, but a trunk car has more distance for the sound wave to develop... i have a standard cab truck with an hdc 12 and 2kw, and my friends magnum on a single memphis pr15 sealed on 300w isn't far behind to the ear, dodge magnum...

I didn't read the thread, but neither cone area nor power affect relative low frequency extension. Both of those only affect the OUTPUT of the driver, not how low it will go. The enclosure and how it is incorporated with the cabin and drivers will determine how low the system will go.

With the correct setup, I can make an 8" sub play just as low as an 18" sub but the output levels will be drastically different. The amount of power is absolutely irrelevant.
