So all of a sudden today after work my computer has gotten Butt ****ed by a trojan.. I can't get on internet Explorer nor can i open Help and Support to reboot my computer to an earlier date.. It says "App cannot be execute. The File Wmiprvse.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your Antiviurs software now?" Then some Spyware Scanner pops up trying to scan my files and wants to me to purchase it but im not trying to do that because i know that shit is fake.. and i have a ZoneAlarm but i havent resubscribed to it yet.. any ideas on what to od?

I think it came from here because I got the same one and it did the same thing. I just did a system restore and then used my security program to scan. I have heard that that some spyware programs are actually the virus.

Yeah the thing is i cant system restore as i can't open my Help and Support tab..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

No my comp was on all day, no one was home, and i come back home and now it won't let me do anything but go on mozilla firefox.... i can't do anything, task manager, system restore nothing..

will it let you run any programs at all?

If you have a second computer or laptop go on it and download malwarebytes, it is an anti malware and will get rid of any trojan etc. Then burn it to a cdr and pop it into your other computer. Or if you have a usb thumb drive.

If the trojan is real bad and won't let you run any programs try shutting down computer or restart it then run in safe mode. After you reboot the pc it is usually the F8 key you need to keep pressing until you get a menu. Select with arrow keys safemode with networking support. Try to run malwarebytes/install in safemode.

So i just tried doing the safe mode system restore.. in safe mode i can open programs but i can't restore because like 10 of the dates i picked it saus " Cannot restore no changes have been made to your computer on this date"

I've had to deal with the same thing a few times.

1. Restart your computer.

2. Hit control/alt/delete as soon as windows loads

3. Go into the task manager and click the processes tab

4. Start closing anything listed that's jibberish. example: jzxpf.exe. (when you eventually close the right one, it'll bypass the opening of the fake "antivirus protection" and you'll be able to go online.

5. Once online, go to google and download malwarebytes.

6. Install and run malwarebytes.

7. Problem solved.

It's a pain in the ***. You may have to restart your computer and go into the task manager 50 times before finally disabling the right process, but you may get lucky and catch the right one quickly. It's a crapshoot.
