computer guys...need help

ok well the last couple of days my computer has been acting gay, i dont think its a virus, but im really not sure what it is...

i cant right click on anything to bring up the menu thing to open in to window or anything like that...

i just tried watching a video and WMP will play the sound, but i cant see the video...

i will open internet explorer and sometimes it will just open up and sit there and not do anything at all, while i know i am connected to the internet .....

i dont know wtf is causing all of this shit...any ideas?

Sounds like some sort of virus or spyware, otherwise maybe some corrupted OS files. Try doing a check disk through repair(assuming you have a OS disk). Just boot to disk, press f8 or whatever to agree, choose your OS install and repair. In the repair console type CHKDSK, or something along those lines, you can type help for a list of commands. Let that run and it nothing is wrong then go into safe mode and run AVG antivirus, you can get a free addition online. Start off with those things then come back, actually do the antivirus before check disk.

Ditto, except replace AVG w/ ESET online scanner in safe mode.

Faster, better, doesn't make you remove your existing AV.

Would rather have the AVG resident on my PC preventing infections than have to scan online once I already have one.

and I'd rather have an anti-virus that's better than AVG residing on my computer ...

Funny, AVG is always near the top of the list for its protection, yet I've never even heard of the one you're recommending.
