I decided to amp my components individually, ex. 1st channel left tweeter, 2nd channel right tweeter, 3rd channel left woofer, 4th channel right woofer. In order for me to do this i had to bypass my crossover. The system sounded real good, loud and clear. Then i began to play with the gain setting on my amp, my tweeters blew up, just stopped working. My woofers still work. I just ordered a new set of tweeters and seperate crossovers, so when they come in i can wire my system the way i want without blowing them again. Right now i just have my woofers hooked up to the amp and running through its original crossover. When i turn the volume up, i hear a hissing sound from the woofers when it plays a certain frequency. Does this mean they are blown as well or is it a wiring mistake or does the crossover on the amp need to be properly set? Thanks for your help!
