components in doors and kick panels?????

I just came up with an idea (i'm sure others have too) to use two sets of 6.5 components in my 2004 Silverado, but I'm not sure if it is a good idea. I want a nice mellow sound with as much midrange and mid bass as possible, and am thinking about using an aftermarket kick panel enclosure for one set of components and the stock door location for the other, using a four channel amp to power them and omitting the factory rear 4x6 location/speakers. Would mounting the speakers this close to each other cause resonanaces or cancellations? What about imaging? I am not looking for audiophile quality per se, just a nice warm sound without any valleys in the response curve.

Sounds ok to me but if I was gonna do it with the criteria that you stated, I'd buy a nice quailty 3way set then install the tweeter and midrange drivers in the kick panel and the midbass driver in the door, then add an amp with plenty of power to make sure I had good headroom......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D:D

ya good call, If you can, make a kick pannel made for a nice 8" driver

VIBE - DeepSpace 8 Speaker

these are really really nice.

gotz em in my ride

why look online, grab a tape, and measure your self.
I though you wanted to do kick panels???
I want to use both the door and kick panel location.....omitting the rear 4x6 location (chevy silverado single cab) + the truck is at a body shop right now so I can't play with it.

Ya, those look nice.

Id go and take off the panel and measure it your self, be 100% positive what the depth is. sometimes internet sites are wrong, they sometimes will not take into consideration of angles, tapers, windows ect ect.
