I just came up with an idea (i'm sure others have too) to use two sets of 6.5 components in my 2004 Silverado, but I'm not sure if it is a good idea. I want a nice mellow sound with as much midrange and mid bass as possible, and am thinking about using an aftermarket kick panel enclosure for one set of components and the stock door location for the other, using a four channel amp to power them and omitting the factory rear 4x6 location/speakers. Would mounting the speakers this close to each other cause resonanaces or cancellations? What about imaging? I am not looking for audiophile quality per se, just a nice warm sound without any valleys in the response curve.
