Component's crossover

I just got a set of 5.25" components, and on the crossover the tweeter has 3 different ways of connecting it, and I have no idea which one to use.

It has -3db -6db and 0db

Is there any difference in which one I use?

its a slope of how much gain it gives the tweeter. start at 0 and if its too much, dial it back a bit.
