That looks like a really solid headunit, are there any previous models that function the same? I was looking at the Kenwood Excelon models potentially as an alternative.

So I take it you got the high quality AT ones ($50 or so for 4 channel)?

I got the Premium Quality but made a batch order through AT directly, so don't know exactly how it broke down in dollars and cents. They're the ones with metal caps and a techflex jacket. Meaty little suckers. Also have a set of Knu Krystal 4-channel RCAs I can put to use later on.

The past-gen Pioneers were from the Premier line, but you're basically talking about the 880PRS for its closest Pioneer cousin. @martiandancer31 ; has one up in the classifieds for what I think is a great price, especially since he's including extras. Also agree that the 80PRS is a solid unit for the price with the Clarion CZ702 being the bargain-priced direct competitor. Both are definitely worth a look. I know some favor the aesthetics of the Pioneer, but in terms of SQ haven't heard much separating the two.
