i am currently running pioneer ts-c160r in front and rear. i am replacing the front component set with one of these 2. problem is that when i (not a newbie anymore, but a rookie still) compare the specs for $200 components with $600 components, I hardly notice a difference. I will spend the extra $200 to get ill sound quality, especially since I wanna make sure that if I go with the Polks, it will be a significant enough upgrade from my current components to justify the time, money, and effort.
first, my current specs:
RMS: 60 Watt
Max Output: 250 Watt
Response Bandwidth: 25 - 32000 Hz
Sensitivity: 90 dB
KICKER SPECS ($400)
Sensitivity: 87 dB
Frequency Response: 40-21,000 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 100W
Peak Power Handling: 200W
POLK SPECS ($200)
Sensitivity: 92 dB
Frequency Response: 40-22,000 Hz
Recommended RMS Power: 100W
Peak Power Handling: 300W
what am i missing, bc the difference in the specifications doesn't justify the price diff.
