I have personally played with both the Eclipse sc8352 and Rainbow Germaniums. So I will try to shed light on them.

The Eclipse tweeter has some problems with certain vocals around 2.5-3kHz. The midrange is a very natural sounding. The lower end of these drivers matched my current JBL's. These are a couple of years old though and I have no idea how the new metal stuff sounds.

The Germaniums (paired with a cal26 tweet) were good. The tweeter is hard to beat and the crossovers are amazing. The midrange is clear and very accurate, but vocals don't quite sound authentic (I don't like metal cone drivers though).

Anyways, out of those two the Rainbows will get my vote.

Did you swap out the CAL25s? If so which ones? Or was that just a typo?

well assuming you have 500,000 watts to work with, id probably go with the boston

Yeah I originally had the 25's, but traded em for a friend's 26's (from a pair of profi's). I have had a few tweets since then and I couldn't remember how the 25's sounded.
