I've never been in or to one before so I have lots of questions and wanting tips I live in michigan and there doesn't ever seem to be any local these days so its hard to go to them. But I have heard of at least 5 going on this year so far (also never had any luck online finding any)

But what are some general tips how can I get an idea of where my system is at what kind of tones or songs or how do comps even work in the first place

What are general rules can I enter more than one system in a comp? How do they seperate the classes

Im sorry if I sound like a noob but I totally am! Lol at least to this side of audio I feel my location is a buzz kill for audio

Know your frequency to play and do not play the system the day of the comp until you're in the lanes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks well I got 4 type rs anf 4 t1s both are newest current models what do u think would do the best in a comp...also how long do you have to play or what type of music...

I mean can u rev the alt? Keep voltages up

Also that meca I found one close to me in may thanks and man ohio isn't far!

You should figure out which organization hosts the most local shows and read up on their rules. All orgs have different rules and classes. You will need an SPL meter or at least hook up with some folks who have one or you're just totally in the dark. Show up at some shows, check things out, ask questions...you'll figure it out.

You have dbDrag in MI also which termpro will list. Also have shows in the Chicago area if you're up for a road trip.

Talk to the judge at the show as he should be able to help answer questions. 99% of the people at comps are friendly and willing to help out a new guy, so don't be afraid to ask and watch what others are doing.

Sitting around all day and not playing your system and just waiting to burp = boring. Demo all you want and just let the car run for 20-30 minutes before you compete so the batts charge and the subs cool down.

There is a show in Hammond, IN on april 15th and that's not too far from you. Come out to that one and I'd be glad to help you figure things out. Will be MECA and USACI, so there will be a few classes you'd fit into...

Hm so you have to b a member and pay the membership fees even to compete? Lame should b able to judt sign up pay the entrance fee amd move on
NO, you do not have to be a member to compete in MECA, USACI, or dbDrag. You can just show up and pay to compete on that day...
