Comp VR or L5

HI everyone need some advice here. I have a pair of CompVR 12 and I find the bass is a little too boomy. It may be the box that the 12's are in but would a pair of L5 10's be better for tighter bass? I also want to save some space so the L5's are looking really good to me right now even though they cost alot more.

Should I keep my Vr 12's and make the box tighter and save some money? Or get the L5 10's for punchier bass and save some space? Help a noob out eh?? Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If both installed in a proper install, the Comp VR's *should* have better transient response, although much of that is enclosure dependent.

What kind of box do you have them in now? It sounds almost like you have an air leak in the box.

i like mine...tuned decently low, not like kicker's recommended 44hz or whatever crap, pretty tight "for solos". i wanna hear the new ones, i'd like to see another 10" driver have more output and still sound decent in a similar size or smaller box. the output on mine are *almost* like ported good twelves and the sq is decent, peaky, but decent
