comp suggestions

alright i know i have post a few of these in the last year but i finely got the money and motive

I am looking for suggestions on computer parts

comp #1 for me need it for school and gaming.

play games like Half-life, nascar sim, chronicles of riddick and battlefield, burn cds, and needs lots of storage

Budget about 1,200 for comp and monitor would prefer a little less

comp #2 for family needs to run power point, simple games like blues clues, rollercoaster tycoon. burn cds and play dvds. nothing to demanding

budget like 500 tops for comp only already have everything else.

willing to build myself, lookinf for suggestions on video cards HD, mother boards, proccessors ect. websites, stores just about any info i can get my hands on.

for the fam comp, do the DELL or some prefabbed comp. they have great deals

If you don't mind doing a little fiddling around with it, I've got the guts of an Intel Celeron 1GHz machine...40gig HD, CD-RW (has another slot for a DVD drive), 19" CRT, full mobo...I could let it go for a very good price.
