comp car

i wanna make a comp car outta of either a ford explorer or a chevy baretta how do i go about gettin started i dont really have alot of money but i think ive got enough i juss wanna be able to win a couple comps nothing like a wall of 30 subs but i was thinking like a wall of 8 4ohm subs run to two 1 ohm stable amps pushin about 2000-4000 watts or maybe 4 amps at 2 ohms or something let me kno ur ideas or if u have any suggestions for me on gettin started
