colts-saints.. it doesn't get any better than this..

All the dispute about the OT rule is appearing becuase of how the NFC Championship ended. There have been close games in OT before, sure, but this is the NFC championship game and there should not be ANY question who the winner of the game should have been. Several calls in OT all went the saints way. The Thomas first down run was questionable because it looks like he MAY have lost control of the ball when he jumped over, in which case forward progression does not count until he regains control. The PI call was bullsh.it but it happened on first down so they had a shot to get the first either way, but it did move the saints into field goal range. The Meachem catch, who knows. I did not think there was enough there to overturn that call.
Its too bad becuase it is clear that the better team is not playing in the super bowl. The vikings had their way on offense except for a bunch of fumbles which really sealed their fates. There really is no excuse for why they lost, but they did it to themselves. Still, with all the doubt floating around about the questionable close calls in OT, this should be a huge red flag. Were talking about a trip to the Super Bowl and it comes down to the Refs pretty much deciding it. The NFL has to change this rule. It is really stupid and the college OT system is clearly more superior.
True that the Vikings really screwed themselves, but these stupid "Oh he touched me!" rules regarding receivers is crap. I mean the rules clearly state that for it to be pass interference the ball has to be "catchable". I mean, c'mon, that pass that set up the winning field goal was about 15 feet over the receivers head! Thus, there should have been no penalty unless that dude has a vertical leap like a fucking kangaroo!

I hoping the saints will win. also people seem to have forgotten how the colts have played this year they have had close games with average teams, 49ers, dolphins, texans (twice), jaguars (twice), and the pats almost beat them at their place and the pats defense wasnt that good this year as they were before. yeah I know the saints had closes games with average or bad teams too. So this game will be closer than people think...look at the scores of the colts schedule this season.
The Official Website of the Indianapolis Colts
All those teams had a defense that could control the line of scrimage and would run a clock controlled running game. 2 things the Saints do not have.

??? so the houston texans had a good defense and running game they were at one point at the bottom of the league when it came to defense. also dont forget the saints were at the top of the league in takeaways.. I just think some people are caught up in the moment of the colts beating a #1 defense..which was a 9-7 team in the regular season and both of the teams they played in the playoffs didnt have a very good offense. In todays league its about putting up points..the whole defense wins championships things is kind of in the past. As you can see none of the teams that were ranked high in defense in the regular season are playing in the super bowl

need i say more

Ahh the Steelers winning 2 super bowls recently and the Giants beating the Patriots supports your point very well...NOT

Time of Possession Texans 34:33....Colts 25:27 ..Score Colts 20-17

Texans had the 13th best defense ot of 32 teams, Saints 25th....

yeah and the saints have the number 1 offense...my main point is that out of nowhere a lot of people have begun riding on peyton mannings nuts ever since sunday. People who were saying oh the jets are gonna beat the colts are now saying hes gonna blow away the saints defense and the game isnt even gonna be close. but oh well it is what it is...with the way things are going now in N.O. being the underdog only adds fuel to the fire

If the Saints need motivation to play in the Super Bowl they should get new jobs.

if the saints play anything like they did in the PLAYOFFS it should be a decent game. i was impressed with how they played against the vikings. i really didnt think they would be able to keep up with them. the SB would be far better if the vikings had gotten the win but nothing can be done about that now.

i dont see the saints being able to pull out a win over the colts

well I believe the saints have a chance to win the game. I know what it feels like to play football off of high emotions ive played the game of football ever since was 5 all the way through some college. where i live we get all the saints game and ive been watching them ever since i was little, but i wasnt really into watching football until the 8th/9th grade when mike vick was playing so i was falcons fan for awhile and i still had to watch the saints since theyre in the same division. sean payton, drew brees and the crew knows what winning the super bowl will mean to that city after katrina. I cant say i was there but i have an idea what it was like when hurricane ivan hit here in 2004. no power, water, and not being able to eat whenever you want for weeks, people you know losing their homes. So i know if i was in a saints uniform i would d.a.m.n sure do whatever takes to bring that championship back to my city.

More excuses. The Vikings lost. They turned the ball over too many times and it bit them on the ass in the end. Too bad...
