colts-saints.. it doesn't get any better than this..

It's funny that this "debate" didn't come up until now. It'll be interesting to see if they change the rule book because of the "warrior".
i just think its unfair. But if you look up the numbers, only 52% of teams that win the toss win the game. These stats were from a few years ago though.

I thought it was closer to 60%. Either way, that's far from one-sided or "unfair" in my opinion. And last I checked, NFL teams were expected to field a competent defensive squad. If you don't want to lose, don't let the other team score.

But still, I wouldn't be opposed to them changing the rule if it actually makes the games better...

I hoping the saints will win. also people seem to have forgotten how the colts have played this year they have had close games with average teams, 49ers, dolphins, texans (twice), jaguars (twice), and the pats almost beat them at their place and the pats defense wasnt that good this year as they were before. yeah I know the saints had closes games with average or bad teams too. So this game will be closer than people think...look at the scores of the colts schedule this season.
The Official Website of the Indianapolis Colts

look at the close games the saints had as well as their losses. going to overtime with such a horrible team doesnt make the saints look to good. the fact they pulled out the win doesnt make them look any better. even more so going to overtime twice with teams that are crap. it does nothing more than show the record for regular season was a joke.

what? Did you watch the game? He got hammered a few times after the ball was thrown or handed off...no flags were thrown and they should have been
Brees was "hit" once or twice as well.

Maybe they should implement some type of alarm area around Farva. You know, kinda like the technology used for dogs. They could make all of the defensive players wear a collar that shocks the piss out of them if they come within 5 yds of the warrior...

haha...thats funny.

He got hammered in that game, saints did an excellent job, but some of them were questionable. They are both very good teams...if peterson could of held onto the ball, the vikings would of won. If the vikings would of won the coin toss at the start of ot, i think they wouldve won too. The saints did a good job though...they are a very good team

all the hits on favre even all the late hits were just a wake up call that its time to retire and stay retired this time. at least i hope so.

the saints are finally playing good football ill give them that. if they keep it up they will be a very good team but they did not deserve to be in the playoffs. they made it to the SB only because they played very well in the playoffs.

Didn't deserve to be in the playoffs you say? A 13-3 team that doesn't deserve to make the playoffs. Hmmm....

If there's not enough proof after reviewing the plays to change the initial ruling they won't overturn anything. That first down run was close and the initial call was a first down and to me it looked like a first down. The fact that people are debating it so much shows you how close it was and if they would have overturned the call and the saints ended up losing then Saints fans would be complaining. Stop whining. What happened happened. The whole overtime debate is kind of ridiculous. Yea both teams should both get a chance to play offense and defense but then there would be a lot of tie games or games would go on forever. Just because you win a coin toss doesn't mean you're going to win. That's what defense is for. And whoever said the Colts would have gone undefeated if they didn't bench there players that's ridiculous. People assume stuff way too much in football. I mean you're actually going to judge how good a team is by how close their games are? lol

exactly the 13-3 wasnt deserved. put them in a division where they play better teams and no way they have that record
Come on, man. Get serious. It's not New Orleans' fault that their division is a crap shoot year in and year out. Are you saying that it should be possible for certain divisions to be exempt from the playoffs?

Have you watched the Saints play football? They deserve to be in the playoffs and win the superbowl more than almost any other team in the NFL. Just look at how much they've improved over the past few years.

dont get me wrong i like the saints. when i was stationed down in louisiana it was great going down to watch them play. they always treated the military awsome. and yes they are improving year in and year out. they looked great this year. i just dont think they deserved to make it to where they are going is all. no its not their fault they get handed an easy schedule but fact is it was an easy schedule. not saying im not happy for them that they finally got something they have never been able to achieve. they should just have to work harder for it is all.

if they played ALL YEAR like they played against the Cards and Vikings i would have a totally different view on it. they played like they belonged in the playoffs. the problem is they didnt play the regular season that same way
