colts-saints.. it doesn't get any better than this..

And whoever said the Colts would have gone undefeated if they didn't bench there players that's ridiculous.
I said that and I'll stand by it. The Colts proved that they're more than capable of beating the NY Jets (the team they were facing when they initially rested their starters) and the next and final game was against Buffalo. In a Indy vs Buffalo scenario, I put my money on Indy 100 out of 100 times...

The colts will win. I think brees will have some issues with freeny and mathis.. Colts wont alow a big game on the ground either.. They shut down the ravens run game, and the jets.. It should be a close game, but manning will get his second ring.

dont get me wrong i like the saints. when i was stationed down in louisiana it was great going down to watch them play. they always treated the military awsome. and yes they are improving year in and year out. they looked great this year. i just dont think they deserved to make it to where they are going is all. no its not their fault they get handed an easy schedule but fact is it was an easy schedule. not saying im not happy for them that they finally got something they have never been able to achieve. they should just have to work harder for it is all.
if they played ALL YEAR like they played against the Cards and Vikings i would have a totally different view on it. they played like they belonged in the playoffs. the problem is they didnt play the regular season that same way
Your logic is severely flawed, my friend...

the truth hurts. they were a .500 team or a little over. instead though they had an easy schedule so they had a very good season. simple as that. they are in the SB though that all that matters to them and their fans. not taking anything away from them.

dont agree with it no big deal you dont have to. hopefully since they had a winning season this year they give them a harder schedule next year to really make them earn their wins. see if they can make it happen again

im aware of what they were this year. i was saying what they "should have been" if given a real schedulelets say .625
Oh, it's the old "coulda, woulda shoulda" argument. Yeah, that's not going to work. Sorry.

The strength of schedule is based on what happened in the previous season. In 2009, the Saints played 8 games against teams that made the playoffs in 2008. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

week 2 - PHI

week 6 - NYG

week 7 - MIA

week 8 - ATL

week 9 - CAR

week 12 - NE

week 14 - ATL

week 17 - CAR

Your argument doesn't hold water...

it doesnt have to. easy schedule = easy wins. i know what its based on so next year like i said hopefully we see just how good they have become. if they are as good as people think they are it will show.

I edited my earlier post. I'm pretty sure NO played 8 games against 2008 playoff teams this year.

Oh, and your logic is severely flawed. Your argument is weak as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

All the dispute about the OT rule is appearing becuase of how the NFC Championship ended. There have been close games in OT before, sure, but this is the NFC championship game and there should not be ANY question who the winner of the game should have been. Several calls in OT all went the saints way. The Thomas first down run was questionable because it looks like he MAY have lost control of the ball when he jumped over, in which case forward progression does not count until he regains control. The PI call was bullsh.it but it happened on first down so they had a shot to get the first either way, but it did move the saints into field goal range. The Meachem catch, who knows. I did not think there was enough there to overturn that call.

Its too bad becuase it is clear that the better team is not playing in the super bowl. The vikings had their way on offense except for a bunch of fumbles which really sealed their fates. There really is no excuse for why they lost, but they did it to themselves. Still, with all the doubt floating around about the questionable close calls in OT, this should be a huge red flag. Were talking about a trip to the Super Bowl and it comes down to the Refs pretty much deciding it. The NFL has to change this rule. It is really stupid and the college OT system is clearly more superior.
