College!

Just wish VEISHEA was still around.
Yeah, it ended after some people died and cop cars were flipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I got Paige's number yesterday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was sanding a wood floor until 10:30 last night and got ready for bed at 11:30. I had an 8 am class today and had to be up by 7:00, so I didn't text her last night. Going to tonight, so we'll see how it goes.

We're doing the finishing sanding on the floor this afternoon, then staining it tonight. Hopefully it won't go as late. My uncle is paying me $15 an hour though, so it's a sweet deal. He's still making bank though. On each floor after taxes, he still makes between $1,000 and $1,500 profit. He usually only charges $2,000-2,500 per job and the disposable materials are less than $500. He does great work though, so people pay it no questions asked

Contrary to the work on my build logs, I can be a decent craftsman.

Good luck. Don't call yourself an engineer until you have the diploma. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif puts wrinkles in us other engineers' undies.

It goes by fast so work hard and try to have fun. That being said, the misconception about college having to be the best time of your life is, well, a misconception. That's an idea that business majors have. When you've done all the hard work, land a job, and make enough money to go buy/do whatever you want without even thinking about finances, you get to have all the fun.

We cared.

I know, I'm not an official engineer yet. Drinking every night is fun, but I haven't landed any babes on campus yet. Unfortunately, with my major most people in my class are guys. My engineering 160 class only has one female, my engineering 101 class only has two, my chemistry recitation only has two, and my calculus recitation only has one. They're all hot, but they're smart, which makes them more challenging prey //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I have to make an effort to go out and meet women, which sucks

All I want to do is graduate, get a decent job, and get a decent wife

Yeah it's tough. I had massive classes where we'd have an auditorium filled with 350 students (in an engineering class, not 1st year), and there would be 2-3 chicks in there. 1-2 weren't into guys either. lol and by 3rd year, half had left engineering. I was lucky enough to date/marry a 4.0GPA engineer and it's pretty nice having someone who can understand and comprehend anything you tell them and even take interest in your car projects and help sometimes.

I know you're not one for taking advice, but let me encourage you to perhaps put off the beer drinking and skirt chasing until vacations and after you graduate. There's close to 5 billion women in the world and if you turn them upside-down they're all the same, and they're not going to quit making beer or declare prohibition any time soon.

Use your social time to network and make friends with useful people. The over-achievers and well connected will help you reach your life goals. IMO that's why Harvard and Yale guys are so successful, not so much because they learn THAT much more there than other schools ,but because their college buddies will be the future CEOs, senators, judges, and various other power brokers. If you want to be successful hang around with successful people.

If you are only an average student but have the right friends you can go far on that.
