College Help

I need some advise on what I should do college-wise while I still have time. I am a graduating senior this year. I have an about 3.97 gpa with only about 6 advanced classes overall. Im ranked 26 out of 329 in my class. Got a 29 and 31 on ACT and 1980 on SAT Now here are my options:

1. Ohio State University (possible honors college) ~4k a year of scholarships. Going to live in dorms. However will have to take out tons of loans for this. Lots of prestige with OSU. Has engineering school.

or

2. Kent State University. I can and probably will live at home. Dad works there so free ride. No engineering school. Not as much prestige and no engineering school, but I could go to Akron U as they have one. I would be pretty much debt free this option. I would also keep my job which is $9/hour so its decent.

help me decide my future.

no private schools as I definitely can't afford them and that's what I have broken it down to from all my other colleges. I definitely want to go to a larger school also.

You're going to fail miserably in your future.

Apply to both, and if either accepts, thank your lucky stars and accept immediately. Because if you're academic intellect is anything like your decision making skills then odds are it'd be a miracle if either school accepts you.

You can get wicked financial aid from private schools, by the way. They don't expect most people to be able to pay full price. I have $29,000 worth of scholarships and grants from Creighton University. Look into that.
