Is there any kind of clip indicator on this amp? I just set my gains with a dmm and the whole time the green light never changed color, dimmed, blinked etc...
I did notice a sort of buzz sound coming from the amp when it got over its rated max voltage (over 41v according to the dmm) so that was a good indicator but I obviously didn't make it do that too much since I don't know exactly what was making the noise.
Still, I don't want to miss something here. Is there any way to tell when the amp is clipping other than by ear with the sub connected?
Also, I don't have my Q 12" yet, I'm just getting everything set so I can just throw it in and have the gains already set.
This is unrelated, but here is the rack I built for my amps.
Kicker ZX750.1 on the bottom, and a Kicker ZX200.2 on the top. I put in a hinge to make it easier to adjust the bottom amp and a Knu fused distro block on the back of the box (4ga in, 8ga to the zx200, 4ga to the zx750). Painted it with hammered-metal textured paint. I don't think it turned out too bad for my first attempt at wood working.
