Hey everyone,

I wanted to share with you my techniques for wiring and using techflex. I really enjoy using it to protect wiring and it does a great job of "cleaning up" the install. It's also great for revamping older wiring. Enjoy!

I'm not really understanding how all of that effort actually cleans up or makes your install any safer, but hey - to each their own.
I think the video wasn't an ideal platform to show the benefits since it really didn't change drastically from beginning to end. Those wires hanging along the amps didn't benefit much from being zip tied together, but the wires on the barrier strip really should have the connections terminated in the way shown in the video. You can substitute 3M Super 33+ electrical tape for heat shrink wrap if you want.

Safe and efficient wire routing is part of planning out a system build from scratch, and when you do it right from the start you're less likely to have problems. There's no doubt in your mind if vibrations will ever knock cables loose, or if the insulation will rub and cause a short months, or even years, after you install the cables. You also need to keep wires tucked and tied out of the way if they're running under trim panels. I try to follow factory wire bundles where appropriate.
