Big three and New Battery

Ok so first question, has anyone done the big three on a 2010-2013 camaro I need help getting the alternator positive through the firewall, not sure where to go or how to go about doing it, will I need an inline fuse?

Also, my 2010 camaro has a group 94R battery, does that mean if I get another battery for audio, it's got to be the same size? Reason I am asking is a XS Power Group 94 battery is almost 500$... Do I need 12v,14v or 16, I will be running probably be running two 2200 watt or more amps, also when do I know when to get a new alternator? Alternator is used when the cars on and the battery when the cars off right?

Yea one of the runs is alt + to batt. Well at least your runs to your amp will be very short //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you are running that much power you will need a new alt now and a couple extra batts. I am guessing your car like all new gm's have the voltage regulator controlled by the pcm and will drop voltage to save gas. If it does you should also get a external regulator with your new alt. I love my Tenney alt

So if buying a new battery would just tax the stock alternator even more, the best Idea would to replace my stock alternator with a h/o alt first then get batteries? The main issue at hand being I'd have to buy one or the other first wait a few months then buy what else I need. I don't have the money all at once, just saving up as I build.

I know its not 0 its like 2 or 4 awg, my lights dim though already with just 1200 watts so. So for the big three, on the 2010 camaro I am not going to replace the just add on to it. It's going to ****, because theirs like nobody with the next gen camaro that's done big three with pictures that I can find. I don't want to pay out the *** for labor either, so I might just have to bite the bullet do some research and try myself.

Will I need an inline fuse for bat pos to alt pos ?

you can do the inline if you want ,i dont personally ,if your going to run a new 0 gauge wire from frt to back ,just make sure its good ofc wire .also which ever side the battery is on is where the stock wire will go thru the fire wall

if you cant run the wire through the firewall, you can run it around to either the driver or passenger side and slip it in between the door, then run it under the side panels. if you don't want to go that route, you will have to drill a hole through the firewall just for the wire
