class D amp for two 15' L7's?

ive been doing some research on class D amps and the only negative thing i have found is in the lower accuracy of response tme. i'm looking for advice from someone with experience with these amps.

Also, probably a dumb question, my speakers have dual 4 ohm voice coils. i have each speaker seperately wired in parallel to produce 2 ohms. i was told by an experienced member, with this setup i need an amp that will run at 1 ohm stable. Is this correct? I am just looking for the best way to setup these subs and to understand how it works. thank you for your suggestions.

Yes the 1 ohm final load is correct. Look for an amp to produce ~1500w or so, and those L7's will scream. What is your budget?

with 1500w they'll be loud but you can put between 2000-2500 watts to that pair of subs

i'm lookin to spend around 300 bucks, give or take some.

for that price range i would look at a used orion 2500d or a poweracoustik a300db... both do 2500 and 2300 respectively which would make your l7's scream.

and want to clarify on this, the response time won't change, power is power, just class D amps are way more effecient, so less draw on your charging system...better for subs...

the kicker kx 1200.1 puts out 1200 rms. Is that 1200w to each speaker or is that split because the speakers max at 1000 rms?

KX1200 is rated at 1200, but most do 1380-1500, so divide that by two, that will be what each speaker sees

Im not sure how great kenwood amps are but i just bought one for $200 at millionbuy.com Its a class D 1800 watt (900 watt rms) at 1 or 2 ohms.
