Clarion VZ409 opinions needed

Can pick up one of these for about $375.. worth it or should I just grab an Alpine 9887 for $250?

Basically curious if there's a noticeable sound quality difference between a Clarion unit and an Alpine or Pioneer.

Internal amp will not be used on either head unit.

I've always loved the sound of the Clarion HU's, I have 3 of them in my closet and will be looking at another one to replace my Eclipse.

If thats the Double DIN version its a good deck for the money...I picked up 4 from NEWEGG when they had their Christmas sale for $200 each....

It's the single din.. it'll be going in a 2003 civic coupe.

It's either the clarion, alpine 9887, or pioneer prem 880prs. I'd love to have the touchscreen and ability for my passenger to watch movies on road trips.

All you have to do is ground the parking brake wire to bypass the video...the sound is good and so is the performance

The Pioneer will give you the best SQ over all...but you'll loose some bling features

This is the tough part.. great EQ and time alignment with the pioneer and alpine units.
