Clarion DPX11551 Mono Amp

I am running the DPX1851 at 2 ohms to a 13w6v2 in my 2006 Mustang GT and thus far I am impressed with it. IMHO, you can't go wrong if all you are looking for is power @ 2 ohms and I believe mine is more than capable of pushing every bit of its 850 watts RMS.
I am still not done with the install, but this is how it sits for now:

i only checkd up on this thread i posted once, since i hadnt subscribed to it. anyways, i ended up with this amp. hadnt installed it fully til about a week ago and today i put it to use, i need to tune it, **** this amp has some good cross over setting. i have it in a tight spot though. so i can barely mess with the cross over, how did you set your cross overs so i can try them out like that to see if i like the settings. i tried playing with them a bit today, and since its in a tight spot, i can barely make any adjustments, and the ones i did, didnt hit all the notes like the lows good at all.

I run my crossover wide open because I have an active head unit.

Of course, you have to watch a couple of things, like DO NOT crank the sub sonic filter too high. Also, I had to use the .6 to 2V input range setting since my Alpine 9887 seems to be lacking voltage on the subwoofer output channel.

any specific setting?

i barely have any room to play with the cross overs, so i cant seem to get it right.

I have the Clarion DPX11551. It is a class G/H amp, which means it was designed by Robert Zeff of Arc Audio. Zeff has a company, Nikola Engineering, that designs amps for clients like Arc Audio and Clarion. In fact, if you look at the Arc Audio amps, you will see the specs of the Clarion DPX11551 look similar to the KS1000.1, i.e. 850 watts at 4 ohms.

Even the old clarions from a few years ago were designed by zeff. Very good amps for the money. Wish these would have made more attention on this forum so I could have picked one up.

Unfortunately, you are going to have to trial and error it. I wasn't impressed with mine at first but liked it after dialing it in. Another thing that I had to do was invert the phase because I was suffering from cancellation on the higher octaves.
