clamp meter and multi meter bein difficult

i bought a clamp meter today and a multi meter the multi reads up to 800 amp ac current and i cant get it to read shiz. then i set the multi meter to v for volts and stuck the + into the + output and the - in the - and neither are reading shizz help

ac and it read nothing so i tryed dc and it read nothing,,,,i tryed both a million times

Put it on 40v dc and check your battery. If it doesnt work it may be broken.

my multi meter reads -26 dc current in the air....and the only thing i can get my clamp meter to read propely is the temprature...
