Civic hatch box design?

I would do 2 cubes at like 33 hz for the R. That car will rattle like a ***** though. My 95 hatch rattles like crazy and I can;t seem to stop it, no matter how much deadening I use

the hatch....the center of the roof is going to flex and bend...you can push on it with your hand and notice it....i had a 4 door of the same model...EF sedan FTW best sleeper car....sub up/port up if you need help come over to orlando...i know ef's like the back of my hand.

That's too big for a single 12" Only reason you'd go that big is if you were building a EBS box, and you'd need a tune to match, like 25-30Hz.

You can go as low as 1.75cf with the r 12 alpine and still get great sound

for most 12's, i agree. there are 12's that go in 3 cubes though. kicker L7 is an example. old rockford hx2's needed quite a large box also, so there are some 12's that do need that large of a box.
