Circuit City SUCKS!!!!

x2 on should of installed it your selve. But I would also talk to a district manager or call in a complaint at their main office. I've had this situation with someone before, not to mention names, but I fussed and argued up and down with the store for hours about their service. Did no good. Emailed the main office, on a complaint, next day I had someone over their heads giving me a gift card.

lol man which circuit? im local too and my friend is a store manager at one here. Also, that idea about swapping decks would probably work at cc

I agree CC sucks however the one near me was very good to me. I got the Polk DB212-2 subs from them and a while later one of the subs ended up blowing. I took it back and they said they don't honor polks warrenty... so I would have to figure it out myself. I did get through to them eventually, i showed i was angry but didnt act like a total dick becuase it really isnt the sales floor associates fault if the store itself sucks. They ended up issuing me a warrenty from CC that expired and now i have a CC full coverage warrenty for two years. it was really good of them,

Odd they wouldn't honor a company's warranty. *shrug*.

Obviously, BB and CC are not that terrible at installing stuff. Otherwise, class action lawsuits, reports of cars on fire, etc, would dominate threads. As far as I can tell, just MAYBE 1/15 posts saying they know someone whose install they fixed that BB or CC ****ed up.

Moving on. Are you testing the deck out of the car? I remember my remote on my amp somehow had a strand touch the constant terminal on the amp. As a result, my HU would look like it was on, but would not function, even if the key was on.

A cd player would be the last thing I'd buy from eBay. Moving parts+lots of digital features for tuning=I want a warranty.

Ahaaaaa, I just had an idea. I will purchase a new unit from Circuit City, then swap it with the bad one...
They will end up sending for warranty with JVC, ..nobodies hurt, and I have a working headunit!!
I think you are missing a step or two. You didnt really think that through did you.

Unless you were joking.

I was contimplating this, but I'm actually waiting for a call back from the ebay seller, and see if they will give me an RMA. I'm just going to complain, and tell them CC bench tested it.

Now, all else fails, I'm gonna just take the unit to a local JVC service center, and see if they can fix the problem...

Ahhhhhh gooo news!! I just spoke with the ebay seller again, and they agreed to RMA the unit.

Thank god, looks like everything will be OK. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Have a look at Circuit City's earnings over the past several quarters.

They're not doing terribly bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
If you mean they are losing less money in the past several quarters then maybe...

They aren't on my shopping list for **** sure.

I don't shop at circuit city anyway. Too far away and they sell nothing I want.
