Stupid Sony bus-in connection. Pac unilink adapter solution?

I posted this in head units a few days ago, didn't get any replies and thought I'd try here...

I have a Sony cdx m610 deck and obviously I want to plug my MP3 into it. I know about the Sony XA-300 but that jimmy costs like 100 bucks. What about this PAC Sony Unilink adapter? According to this site it says that it connects to any Sony UniLink car stereo. And this site right here confirms that my stereo is indeed UniLink.

Does anyone know anything about this adapter? I searched this site and the web and couldn't really come up with a reason it wouldn't work, but I don't really know a whole lot about the subject? Anyone have any experience or insight they could share with me? Just got a brand new system thanks to some help from this site and would love to get that last little piece in...
