omg, you won't believe this story.....
I take my brand new JVC KDC-AVX33 headunit to Circuit City Car Audio to get it installed yesterday. (I purchased it from Electronic Giant on Ebay).
Well, this young dude with no clue was trying to install it, for like 3 hours! He finally came to me and said, "your remote wire to the front amp (MTX) must be grounded or something, because when I connect the RCA to the HU, it kept blowing fuses in the car." He claimed the wiring was bad. ..Well Everything worked fine before they touched it.
Anyways, he then comes to me and says "the unit is defective, it won't turn on the display". I spoke to the shop manager, and he said I need to return it to the place I purchased it from.
So... I call up the place I purchased it from, and they said sorry, we can't return items that have been installed.
Now, at this point, I'm pissed off as all hell. I walk into Circuit City this morning, and explained the situation with the manager, and they were very rude and said "How do we know the unit was not working when we got it, sorry take it back to the place you purchased it from, or send it in the JVC".
I'm like what??? You guys damaged it during the install, and now it's my problem?
UNBELIEVABLE, Circuit City treats there customers like that? Since I didn't get anywhere with the manager at the local store, I just called up there customer service and a regional manager is supposed to call me back by Monday.
