I have $250 at CC i can spend that someone gave me. I got the brand new 12" polk momo's and they dont sound that good at all. What sub would someone reccomend? I have the xtant 600 watt mono amp. its not 1 ohm stable so im tryin to stay wit subs that are single voice coil. what do people reccomend? infinity? alpine? help!

Well, from my experience in CC and what I bought there are 3 subs there that are decent.

If your into SQ (sound quality), I would suggest the infinity reference series. On sale you can get 2 of them for about $130. They sound great but don't really get loud. They are 300rms a sub.

If you want a mixture of could get loud and good SQ, then I would get the alpine type R. I think they are about $160 each. However I think they are dual voicecoil.

If you want all out SPL, I go with the audiobahn they got now. The get loud but doesn't sound all that well. I don't know the cost of them though.

I am curently have the infinity reference 2k2 edition. They sound the same of the 2k3 edition. The can mantain good sq but I like it loud so i am upgrading from them.

id def. get the TYpe R's. Theyr great subs. Although Pollk Momo's should be good sounding subs ur install must not be that great cuz i know these subs are decent

a Friend have mine has 4 10" polk momo's they sounds great

I am running 2 type r 12s on a jl 500 in a prefab. vented box (temporary) gets pretty loud and hits the low note good too. great subs for the price 160 online. still want to get d2s though, 300 each with shipping got to save some pennies.

I have 2-12 Infinity Refrence and I got them for $150 for tha pair with 300watts pushing them in a sealed and they sound great and still hit, I used to have the older style ref. and i only have 200watts to those in a ported box and they were still load.
