I went on Thursday w/ my dad to get a basic system for his car because we were on a tight time slot and needed it put it by monday for our 2,000 mile drive. We picked out all the stuff and the guy ensured us that he had the dash kit in stock but he needed to wait for the installer to come in another day to make sure we bought the right one. We made an appoitment for today to get it installed.

So we go in today and remind him about the dash kit (never brought it up) and he said "oh, looks like we dont have any, go run across the street to best buy and see if they have". So we go to Best Buy and buy one that the guy there said would work. Didn't work.

So now I am pissed off and tell the circuit city guy to return all our stuff and he needs to refund the best buy thing for us because we just wasted time running back and forth, and no way am i gonna run back there again. We talk to the manager and he tells us basically to get lost and call corporate if we have issues. So we wasted 3 hours today NOT getting a radio installed, and i had to take a trip to best buy myself to return the dash kit that they told me would fit, because they were too dumb to give it to me when i bought my system. What a bunch of retards, they wasted half my sunday and now I have no system because they couldn't get ahold of a stupid 20 dollar part. Do you think if I call corporate I will get a giftcard or something?

toyota 4 runner. I really didn't wanna deal with all of it doing it myself to be honest. And ive never done it before and i really dont want the 1st to be my dads car.

i mean what kind of place screws up and doesn't have a crucial part needed for installation, and then tells you that you have to drive to a competing store and buy it? After i just spent 500 bucks there? They have to be out of their minds.

yea but they completely screwed up my situation by not selling me what i needed, and then told me to get lost basically. They could have delt with it much better. They didn't even apologize.I used to work at Circuit City and i never allowed someone to leave the store pissed off and feeling like they were being screwed over.

I needed a distro block for a quick install, went to circuit city to check out the price on one, and they wanted $70!!! Never going there again. Where do they get $70 for two blocks of steel with a fuse between them?

Coulda did a lil research and figured out what part you would need than go from there......but really thats what the "professionals" are for right...Good luck getting that fixed

I was sitting there arguing for like 20 minutes but i wasn't gonna sit there all day. Nothing i could do but leave.

i was in a time crunch. I told them to go to best buy and get it for me because im not gonna go driving around and buy stuff THEY should have had in the store. But they absolutely wouldn't so i just went. And then i demanded that they went and gave me my money back for the part I bought at best buy because it wasn't the right one but they also refused. Bunch of assholes, i seriously feel like beating the shit out of the manager with how he dealt with (or didn't) my situation.
