Choosing an Amp for Active SSCS6

Ok so Im pretty sure Im gonna go active with these and a CD7100.... just need to know if they are usually rated at 100 watts but Im wanting to give em 150 because thats what I hear will really get them sounding good. They are 4 ohm single voice coil so this means to go active I need an amp that will do 150x4 @ 4 ohms right? I just wanted to make sure before I started looking and then found an amp and then found out it wasn't right lol...

Also do yall know of any good amps that would fit this description preferablly under 200 bucks... if not under 150. I found a DHD NTX-2008 that says it does 150x4@4ohms for like 120 anyone know if they are any good?

If someone has a list of amps that could do this in a reasonable price range that would help alot. Also Im assuming Boss amps are overrated... correct me if Im wrong.

If you are going budget take a look at cadence, profile ect. for budget amps. 150w gives you some head room, which is a good thing. Meaning you can keep your gains set lower generally lowering you noise floor. You would be fine with any of the following 75w to 150w x 4.IMO The speakers are not going to handle 150w to each speaker.IMO

If you want to spend 129.00 I would strongly consider the Cadence TXA-3004. If you want to spend a little more then TXA-6004 179.00. Those are shipped prices from what I understand. No I am not trying give Cadence a plug but for the price right now its hard to bet them on a budget.

I am talking active running a full 150w to each of the 4 Crystal speakers. The mids should handle it. I feel you would taking a risk with 150 per tweeter. You can always adjust your gains. I you go passive then IMO you are good. Have you decided if are you going passive or active. You said active then you ask me about passive.

Passive and active are completely different things.

No I was just asking if the there was a difference in the amount of power in running passive to the amount of power running in active. From what I read in a passive each speaker still gets 150 watts just like it gets in active its just in active you have it on seperate channels so you can completely control it. I think, I could be completely and utterly wrong but yah...

If I just bought the 150x4 @ 4 ohms amp could I run it passive with 2 of the 4 channels until I decide I want to go active?

Gen thanks for the help btw you seem to be the one always helping lol... but your explanation of acctive kinda confused me... my understanding is that active helps you choose where the speakers stop playing a certain note and the sub stops playin and the midbass will pick it up.. But is that the biggest advantage to doing the active?

Also this is a speaker question I guess but do I not have midrange speakers here or do the components I have... have that mixed in there?

Off to work out now... sorry it was kinda rushed may have used wrong terms or something umm any help appreciated thanks.
