I'm hoping my little friend arrives today. If so I'm going to pick it up and pay off the mono. I need to put a down payment on the 4 channel.

The end game is sound quality not a 150db concert car.

Processing will be the MS-8. It will power the rear speakers in the doors.

I guess I need to add power to the front stage but I want to use the stock speakers for a while.

I'm thinking this, it's cheap and I'll have plenty of headroom. All it has to do is keep up with a single 8 in a trunk.

Or should i plan on putting in the XLs and just get a better amp like the SS4?

Not at all, amplifiers have gain control to attenuate the output to safe levels.

I've moved this post to installations. Can't work out how to delete it here.
