Chinese subwoofers

When you're using a dual gap design it is necessary to use a spider on each end.

Is it crap?, no, its just an exotic way to do it.

Its like comparing rotary engines to piston engines, two designs with their own strength and weaknesses.

The wood ones would e alright if you had a nice wood interior ad you mounted them in the rear deck IB or something, or if you have a wood grain themed trunk lol but the red is just weird lol

Why the hell are they putting these "phat" surrounds on these subs when the basket and motor structure may only allow +/-7mm of excursion??? Eh i just guess they are trying to make a buck... hell id do the same thing if i know i could make some money.... oh wait i tried it... Sold one Custom made sub...

WGTi is a dual gap design, and it doesn't have a spider hangin' out of the back plate.

I'm not making a big deal of it...it's stupid...pointless...and adds cost for tooling with no added performance...

I thought the whole idea behind manufacturing speakers was to make money?

 
Well since that's true, I'd love to have a sub like that top one. Hence, the look is very effective marketing. Especially considering I *hate* chrome.
