The w3v2 would be more comparable to the Rl-i (however, the Rl-i is not available in 15" from SS). W6v2/W7 are more comparable to the Rl-p

To actually answer the Question RL-p definitly. I've personally had 3 different setups using w3's, and though they are really nice subs the RL-p is 3 steps ahead.

OK U GUYS R NUTZ......THE 15W3 WILL WAX THE RL-P *** IN OUTPUT....IN SQ RL-P WILL BEAT THE LIVING HELL OUT OF A 15W3...i need 2 call jl and have them change there specs.....that 15w3 can take 1000watts easy...and the output is ridiculous ...depending on the box it can have decent sq..but the sq on the rl-p is good no matter what

JL underrates their subs 30-40% i'm conviced, but 1000 watts, no.

i've listen 2 jl 12w6v2's and 2 soundsplinter rl-p's with the same amp, and car and there is no way a w6 could hang with the rl-p in terms of output or sq. rl-p's do get very loud and maintain excellent sq.

they were both in the same box. the jl and the soundsplinter have very similar box recommendations.
