So your buddy is around somewhere where someone was shot and that means you can't walk the streets with armor? Give me a break. 65-70% of the murders in the city are drug related. Don't get involved in drugs and you'll be all right. In fact, the Detroit Free Press did an article where they went and drove on every single road in the city. The reporter said he never once felt threatened. He said he was offered to get high and had some prostitutes solicit him. Any big city will have that.

"Actual" Detroit and "actual" Chicago? I drove through actual Detroit. Ended up by this gas station near Tiger Stadium. I was in a Mustang rental. Went in for a map and felt right at home. Shit looked just like Chicago. Dudes begging outside, 3 inch thick glass between you and the Middle eastern guy with his overpriced goods. They even had flavored blunt wrappers. But actual Chicago is a lot worse. We have this kid killing problem in the city now.

Was it old Tiger Stadium or Comerica Park? Old Tiger Stadium is a neighborhood that used to be called corktown. It is now pretty much abandoned and that is about the worst you will find in the city. They are tearing down the old stadium and rebuilding the corktown area.
