yea its all cool. I know exactly what ya mean, its great to hear feedback whether good or bad instead of just silence. Your truck is looking sweet though, definitely a far cry from what it was when you first started. Can't wait to see it lowered.

im acutally having some second guesses about lowering it 3/5 with the wheels on. im thinkin a 1/2 2/3 drop would look better.

1/2 drop would look really sweet, just leveling out the back end will make a pretty dramatic change, and will be nice to have a usably truck you wouldn't worry about driving due to it being too low.

dude..... I just read all 26 pages of this. I have never seen a single cab truck full size that I have liked until I saw this. If I had 1/10 of the ambition that you have I would be miles ahead. Good job man, keep it up!!!!

Well after fighting with the bed for about 2 hours i finally got it off now the fun part begins. My questions. I will be replacing the large crossmember in the rear... very badly rusted.

this is after about 30 seconds with the angle grinder so most of the rust is just surface which is good but some spots are pretty bad which is why im tackeling the rust while i do the drop.

and this just looks gooooooooddddd awful so i will be replacing it while i have the bed off.

Well i got the 50lb bucket of aluminum oxide which is 10 times better then the glass i was using yesterday. i worked on it for about 4 hours and then spent 2 hours cleanin up the shop because after i got done with the truck today i could barely walk around. I also put leds in up in the markersand im buyin a new set of corners to do the tops because i didnt seal them with silicone and one cover fell off. ANY WAY.... on to the pics.

darn bandwidth, I was looking forward to pics.

Sounds like you got some rust problems. This isn't nearly as good as a grinder or wire brush but works pretty good on bare metal, and is at the least good to coat bare metal that will have to stay bare for a little while before it can get primed. http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=11122&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=379&iSubCat=380&iProductID=11122 They have a few other similar products and I have used some of their older formulations that worked pretty good on my older truck frame. Not sure on the directions though but one thing to not listen to on the directions is to wash the stuff off with a hose after you apply it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/plthumbsdown.gif.d7966af824c93c6021d1aae1778b1c19.gif But applying the stuff with a rag and it will be all good and ready for primer. Had the frame on my old F250 sandblasted and it sat for a few days before I could get to it, used this stuff on the rust and it disappeard and was ready for paint.
