What are you plans for the bed? Are you just gonna try and pick up a new bed, or get ahold of bed sides and weld in replacement panels?

 
three weeks for paint and body work and reassembly. gettin a completely new bed.

yea we are supposed to be getting my truck re painted hopefully next month or soo. I Scratched up the front pretty bad from smacking a fence :p

parents were none to pleased....

Sounds like things are moving along pretty good. $2k with body work sounds to be a pretty good deal. When I painted my 83 Ford F250 it was $500 just for the paint and primer. I did all the body work myself and was a good 20+ hours of wet sanding (was also my first time) and even plenty more hours of checking stuff and grinding off the surface rust and such. Prepping it yourself can save loads of cash on the painting process also good to learn, but man can it be tricky, and certainly something that takes experience.
