any one put this on a 96 impala ss remote start worked flawless for a year stopped working they replaced the resistor pack worked again, now wont work again any one tell me what to use so it will work without breaking

also i got 2 530t modules fo the windows can someone tell me how to wire these any help would be appreciated

I am absolutely disgusted with that freaking alarm. I paid over $600 installed in late 04' and have been unhappy with it every since. Deg on sensitivity sux, range is terrible around objects, transponder doesn't retrieve it's signal through thick metal. I could go on and on.

 
first of all, it has nothing to do with the alarm, the 791xv is probably one of the few very reliable remotestarts/alarms. Before you start blaming your product, you should go under your dash and see what a horrible job your installer did. I can guarentee 100% that they did a horrible job.

 
yeah i know i wanna fix it but the resistor pack has gone bad once already, there is a certain resistor combo i need for the pass key system

yeah i am not bringing it back there since they stopped doing car audio and alarms only do tint now

Just get a 555L... it is a autolearning bypass for hte passlock system, no need for the resistor pack it autolearns the resistance. Only car it won't work on that I can think of that uses passlock2 is like a 02 saturn...

 
555l is the passkey bypass? the idiot who installed it said i had to use the resistors
My bad I sorda half assed read your first post, for some reason I was thinking you said 01 impala. 96 impala uses VATS... which should just be a resistor(s) with a relay matched to the resistance on your key.

You need to measure the resistance of the key... take a mulitimeter and set it to ohms... put one probe on one side of the little resistance pellet and the other probe on the other side. This will give you the resistance of the key... next just match it up with resistors... might have to wire them in series/parallel to get the right resistance.

If a shop did it I would just take it back if they have lifetime warranty on labor and make them fix it.

the shop that did stoped doing alarm and stereo work only do tint now

Radioshack? or goto any shop that does remote starts and stuff... see if they will sell you a resistor pack out of a 451m pack.

 
one more question which i beleive had to do why it failed if i remote start the car with the alarm armed or a while after i disarm the alrm it worked perfect, if i disarm and try to start right away would go into pass key protect

ne one help me witht 530t modules
