Go buy a 2003-2004 Mustang SVT Cobra (last body style). You can pick them up now for like 18-25k in great condition. The romeo series motor in those things are absolutely BOMB PROOF. Take the 40 grand you saved and put 5k into a Kenne Bell aftermarket supercharger. With that, those things make 600-700 HP at the wheels without any supporting mods other than an upgraded fuel pump and a nice intake + exhaust. Those motors stand up to the 26 pounds of boost on stock internals. Half the price with an extra 200 HP to play around with... hmm tough choice.

x2 I used to own one and with minor mods to it i put down 513 rwhp/501 rwtq on the dyno. No work done to the s/c, all bolt ons and minor internals. I ran high-mid 11s on my regular tires(Pirelli P-zeros) and as low as 11.13 on MT radials.

x2 the KRs are nice cars, but i doubt they will ever be a collectors item like the 60s era ones were. IMO one of the most overpriced cars i've seen come out in years though.

I agree, the KR package is only a few grand more than a regular gt500. shelby voiced that he wanted the cars to be sold at msrp, its teh greedy dealers marking them up 25 grand.

x2 they are one the single most badass rides out there... But i still smoked one(in my 04 Cobra) from a 30mph roll on the highway, all the way to about 160 or so when traffic started getting a lil too close for comfort.
