Check out tha BTL

the fact that the tinsel got so hot it burned a hole in the nomex spider isnt a clue to anyone/
the coil never smelled, and u can tell from the basket vent that it still has the shiny copper color to it and dosent look burnt at all, ive never smelled it and it still has that shiny gloss to it (glue)

dude the coil isnt discolored b/c it is a freaking huge piece of copper, the fact is your tinsel got VERY VERY hot, and failed. It was pushed with an amp that i expect was clipping horribly if you were trying to get 3800 watts out of a mtx amp. Clipping creates heat, heat kills speaker parts

so sundown ur saying that the amp ,

clipping the signal sent too much heat through the output and fried the coil

jus for my own info

appreciate the knowledge

The amp came with a birthsheet of 3831W @ 1, just because its MTX means nothing, theres reviews of these all over the place and they do way more then rated, ur judging it by the brand name which is kind of stupid
