Hey this is my first time doing an audio setup just wondering if you guys could look at this and tell me if it is alright. Im wiring 2 4-ohm DVC speakers to a mono amp. at 1 ohm.

uh, u don't have to hook the subs up to each other if you don't want, just hook both subs' + and - up to the terminal cup

yeah i thought about running it one way before i started but wasnt sure if it would work so did this. come to realize it would work.

so will my amp put equal power to each set of terminals? and since im only using one will i only get half of the amps output? what can i do

What they mean is if your mono amp has 2 + and 2- outputs you can parallel the coils on the subs then parallel one sub to a set of + and - terminals. And do both subs in this manner.

The reason this is... is because the two sets of output terminals are actually wired together in parallel, so youd effectively have the same wiring.

This would eliminate running a wire through chambers in your box, as wlel as cramming three wires in one post on the subs. the two pairs of terminals are there exactly for this reason, to make the wiring more flexible and clean.

saint... i love you. yeah i got what people were saying. i was going to do it that way in the first place but all i had was a stupid diagram so a monoblock from rockford fosgate so i came up with this. since the 2 terminals are wired in parallel inside will i still get all my power through this one parallel.
