hey i've got this little mtx amp that i was gonna use for my components and i notice than when hooked up to my radio the sound would come in and out and just making random noises...so i hooked my ipod straight to the rca's and while the ipod sat in the seat the sound would be gone, but whenever i touched or held the ipod (i was standing on the ground) the sound would come back....so do you think the grounds are bad on the rca's on the amp....if so can i fix that like u would fix most of the rca's on the pioneer hu's...??

The "ground" in you car doesn't work that way. It isn't a ground really, it's just a common negative. The case of your iPod is electrically isolated from the circuitry, so you touching it shouldn't have an effect on anything. I would suspect that you have a loose RCA jack on the amp and thus an intermittent connection. You touching the iPod moves it enough to make a connection. A bad RCA "ground" reference usually results in a lot of noise, not the sound cutting out. Also, not all inputs are referenced to "ground."

i understand what yall are saying...but there is a lot of constant rumbling sound whenever i turn my freq., or gains up on my amp...and it stops whenever i touch the ipod....could i fix the rca's by grounding them like you would do the pioneer hu's..that have bad rca ground
