cheap system

my dad is giving me this old school late 80's blazer next week after his bud puts a new 350 in it. (2 door, same size as the old 2 door tahoes. its jacked up way high and is four wheel drive. its mainly for offrode and has 5 point harnesses in the front two seats, rollcage, $4500 in sups., wheels and tires. great offroad vehicle) im looking to put very little money in the system because im only gonna drive it for 2-3 weeks until i get my liscenes and then prolly sell it or keep it to run over things with. i was thinking of getting the poineer 4400 from the zeb for like 130 i think it was? what speakers should i get that are cheap and sound good. the rear has 6x9 by the ankles of the rear passengers feets and the front speakers are in the dash and i have no clue what size they are (prolly 3 1/2's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ) sub wize im thinking about a single 10 or 12 with amp for 160 bucks or so (maybe kicker comp or something like that) I AM NOT LOOKING TO PUT ALOT OF MONEY INTO IT BECAUSE IM PROLLY GONNA SELL IT.

ps what do u think i could get for it? has new paint job, less than 50 miles on tires (prolly close to 1k when i get done with it), new chavy 350 engine, very clean int. with 5 point seat belts in font two seats, pw, pdl, cb radio (lol), the susp. is skyjacker (note sure what size, its tall but not 2 tall) and was done by texas offroad suspensions wich is a very respected offroad company in texas, soon to be system.

If you're only driving it for 3 weeks then selling it...why even bother with a system?

because it has nothing and im sure putting a system it would be more apealing to kids looking for there first vehicle or some old *** man looking to listen to the radio and 3 weeks is 21 days

edit: if i spend 400 or so on it and have it for 3 weeks thats only 20 bucks a day and if i cruz around for 4 hours a day thats only 5 bucks or so a hour //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and it would prolly give it better resell value by a couple hundred bucks

Yes....I know 3 weeks is 21 days......if you want to put a system in to drive up the selling price, make sure you would actually gain $$ in doing so....otherwise it's pretty pointless.

do u think it would increase the value? if i lose 100 bucks or so in the end it would still be worth it. lets do some more math if i lose 100 bucks

absolutely nothing unless you consider a cb radio a radio. there is a spot for the hu and speaks, it looks like the previous owner took it out (my dad bought it at a steal 2 years ago and he kinda restored it and all the stuff was put on by friends who owed him (texas offroad suspension being one of them)

Well...I'd throw a somewhat decent HU in there and some cheap speakers. No need to do anything big if youre selling it.

il prolly get that hu (walmarts cheapest is 180 for the 2nd to lowest quility pioneer) and get some memphis power refrence speakers (very cheap)

anyone know what its worth? i believe its a 1987 or 1988. if its not worth much ill just keep the **** thing to goto the beach, lake, and other outdoor shit

I totally dig you dewd, i cant sit still when i have room to put shit in also.

What i would do (actually am doing for a friend) is making a clear with a bit loud system.

So far for him I got:

2 x 10" emphaser S3 (73$ each) (150w rms @ 4 ohm each)

1 x pro audio labs bullet 300 (85$) (300w rms @ 4 ohm monoblock)

1 x gto935 speakerset (55$) - (would recommend other one, only good when on hp)

1 x octane-r compo set (90$)

1 x jbl gto-4000 (142$)

bass is already in that car and so far we tested it once for db´s and we came to 135.2. I personally use the compo set named and the jbl´s i had before, they play very well on my pg qx amps but dunno how well the gto will push it.

anyway, i totally dig u and wish you fun while building
