The only AGM battery I saw for sure was the Orbital Extreme, which seem to be a private branded version of the Optima Yellow Top. If that is the only thing you can find, it will work, but you are only going to get about 1000W RMS out of it.

114lbs!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Wow! That thing is a beast! I don't think that one will be very affordable. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

As for the Odyssey models, the 2150 is a bad mofo. That is a Group 31 battery. They actually make two different 2150 models, but the only difference is an extra set of posts on the one model. The actual battery inside is identical. If that one is too expensive, then just buy the biggest one you can afford.

Also, while you are at the battery expert place, ask them if they have any other AGM batteries. Sometimes you will find that they sell a no-name version of AGM batteries that might not be the best batteries, but they might be much cheaper.

The no name is sometimes also less performance too, so be careful. I have seen batteries that were supposedly no name Kinetik batteries, but they had like half the performance. Remember what you see on the outside is not what makes a battery. It is the insides that matter. The plates and the electrolyte are what is crucial to making a good battery. Those are not something you can see by looking at the outside of a battery. Some of the ratings are valuable, but again are not everything. The Ah rating and the reserve minutes are useful, at least more useful than CA and CCA values.

That battery looks decent. I can't tell you for sure how it will work, but it looks like it has pretty decent specs. For $175 US you can get a Deka Intimidator 9A31 here, so the $230 US price is a little high. It might be the best value you can find.

As for the isolator, if you use the solenoid based isolator, you will kill your starting battery much sooner. If you are willing to take that risk, go with the solenoid based. It is better than running nothing at all.
