Cheap On Sound Deadening

I just wanted a minimalist system with amped front speakers and a sub. But now I'm feeling bit by the bug and I'm looking to put in some decent front speakers in my Explorer and I'm considering putting in a little deadener as well.

The speakers will be 6.5" coaxs (on adapters) running above 100hz with about 65w rms per channel.

I also picked up one of the qlogic hidden enclosures that hides in the back panel (thanks craigslist) and I suppose it wouldn't hurt to lay some mat behind that also.

I don't want to spend more than 50 bucks. Should I just forget it? Or is there something I can do on the cheap that would be worth it?

Elemental Designs has edead which is butyl based and is cheap also. I have edead80 covering my trunk lid and its ok to me the rattle stuck better and worked better but the edead has no smell so its a trade off.

go to lowes or home depot in the insulation department. I bought a roll that is 15 in by 25 ft for 15 dollars. about a quarter inch thick. They also have 3m spray on adhesive too. 25 bucks, and I did my whole back wall of my truck, with tons left over for at least 2 doors, and 3/4 of a can of adhesive left

No, not asphalt based. IT has aluminum on both sides, not asphalt. Looks just like this

without the brand name on it
