Charging a car battery at home?

Does anyone know if they make something to charge a car battery at home, and more importantly if you could hook things up to it and use them? I buy a lot of equipment and it usually takes me a LONG (like 2-3 months) time to get it in my car, but i'm looking for a way to test them out
