ok i have spent the last 2 hours looking up info on active set ups and this is what i have got out of it

each speaker neads its own chanell

nead the use of x overs

to start out im going to lise what i have and what i want to get

hu eclipse 8443

6.5 componet like to use diamond so that i have all the same brand of speakers

compnet amp undecided

subwoofer diamond d9 12

subwoofer amp mb quart raa1000

so basicaly im going to setup a sq setup to turn some heads in my area prety much every one is runing around with l7s and alots of spl but no sq

so i nead to know what type of componet set i should run and what type of amp to use to power it ?

would it be better to run all new speaker wires or use the stock speaker wire?

and i will nead some help in setting up the x overs in my eclipse

i always saw the features were built into my head unit but was not shure what they were used for

i think i prety much listed every thing that i had questions about

and i think i liseted all the equipment that i would nead to run a active set up but if not point me in the right direction

what do you want to spend on an amp for your components. i am running my components active through a zapco reference DC amp. it has tons of processing.

since you are going active, i would definately look into some DIY speakers. go to http://www.diymobileaudio.com. my favorite website for active discussions.

but a budget would be nice as well.
